WHAT WE DID IN 2 HOURS

We have finished covering Measurement, whereby we spent the last lesson on the concepts of measurement of time using a pendulum and ticker tape timer, as well as a quick overview of scalar and vector quantities. And we wrapped everything up with 2 quizzes and a test, with lots of PMC dollars to give out! Thumbs up to those who earned some moolah!
You can check out your test results in the student portal now.

[S3 Maths PMCians]

WHAT WE DID IN 2 HOURS

We have completed Indices (E Maths topic) with a team-based game. Hope you had fun!

Following which, we started on our first A Maths topic – Surds this week. Surds is a simple topic to get your started on the demands of A Maths. We aim to adopt good “housekeeping” habits like simplifying the bigger numbers first before solving the question to avoid careless mistakes. Students are always reminded to adhere to these good habits.

WHAT YOU TAKE HOME

Please attempt the Take Away Questions for Surds and check your answers here: https://tinyurl.com/rs6yc8s

SPECIAL MENTION

There will be a test on Surds next week when we complete the chapter.

[S3 Chemistry PMCians]

WHAT WE DID IN 2 HOURS

We recapped the basics of Kinetic Particle Theory:

1)    Arrangements and Movements

2)    Heating and Cooling Curves

Then we moved on looking in depth into diffusion and understanding how the 2 factors affect the rate of diffusion:

1)    Temperature

2)    Molecular Mass
