[S4] Lesson 39 (Magnetism + EM Year End Revision + Mock Exam L3 – Trigonometry + GoodLuck Paper A)

[S4 Physics PMCians]

What we did in 2 hours:

On 26th and 27th Sept, the S4 PH has come together to complete the following:

1) Magnetism and Electromagnetism Secret Enclosed
2) The Final Lap

Always remember:
a) The thumb of the Right Hand Grip Rule represents the magnetic pole in a solenoid while the four fingers represent the direction of the current. While the thumb represents the direction of the current in a SINGLE piece of current carrying wire.
b) Fleming’s Left Hand Rule is used to determine the direction of the force exerting on a current-carrying wire placed in an external magnetic field. However, it cannot be used to explain why the wire moves. Do remember to use the ‘stronger B field to weaker B field’ to explain why.
c) ‘Like’ current attract and unlike current repel.

What you take home:

In this coming week (3 and 4th Oct), we will be embarking on brainstorming exam papers.
Do remember to always bring your Secret Enclosed AND the revision books for all lessons.
Do bring along your calculator for the lesson.

What we did in 2 hours:

We have completed Paper 2 of our Good Luck Paper A where we used question analysis techniques to accurately identify and recall concepts our teachers are testing based on the content of the questions and recognising the level of precision in our answers based on the marks and phrasing of the questions.

What you take home:

You should take the time to complete any take home packages on topical revision if any to ensure sufficient question exposure before your exams.

Special Mention:

We will be continuing our revision with Good Luck Paper B. I hope to see all of you physically for lessons to assess your answers and provide feedback to further improve and perfect them before the exams.
Please also refer to the following folder (Document 2.) for your answers to Paper 2 Section B Q1 (e) and (f) for Good Luck Paper A:
