[S3] Lesson 35 : Kinetic Model + Pressure EOY Revision L1 + (AM) Secret Enclosed – Polynomials + EOY – Atomic Structure & Chem Bonding Updates/Debrief

[S3 Physics PMCians]

What we did in 2 hours:

On 25, 29 and 30 Aug, the S3 PH has come together to complete the following:

1) Secret Enclosed – Kinetic Model and Pressure

2) The Final Lap – MCQ (Part 1)

Do remember:

     1. P is related to FOC and speed, V is on the average separation distance and T is on the average KE of the particles.

     2. P(1) = P(2); same level and same fluid, is the basis to solve questions related to Manometer and Barometer.

What we received:

In this coming week (Sep 3, 5 and 6), we will continue our revision with Kinetic Model of Matter (inclusive of Pressure) Lesson 2.

Do remember to always bring your Secret Enclosed AND the revision books for all lessons.

Do bring along your calculator for the lesson.

Special Mention:

Should you need assistance in your daily practices in Physics, do send your attempted workings and questions to 9100 1235. We will strive to clarify your doubts.

What we did in 2 hours:

We have kickstarted our revision for the EOY exams with atomic structure and chemical bonding. You are now equipped with effective problem solving techniques on the counting of subatomic particles, identification of atoms & ions as well as the Group number and number of bonding/unbonding electrons in covalent compounds (e.g. Group IV elements: 4 bonds, 0 unbonded electrons).

What you received:

You should complete your take home package on Atomic Structure as they contain other school exam questions which will serve as good consolidation practices towards the EOY exams.

Special Mention:

Solutions to Atomic Structure Last Sprint MCQ:

Q1) C, Q3) A, Q5) D, Q7) C, Q9) B

To those who have submitted your Quick Fire Quiz on Metals, you would have received your quiz and feedback. For online students, hereby attached are the solutions to the questions:
