[S2 Maths + Science PMCians]
What we did in 2 hours:
Good to see all of you back after the 2 weeks break!
We had our very first hands-on experience with our very first Add Maths topic – Polynomials. Within the 2 hours, we have already covered 2/3 of the topic.
We used the 1st hour to acquire the fundamental skills of solving for unknowns in a given identity:
Method (1) comparing coefficient and
Method (2) suitable substitution.
Through the various questions, we learn that it is about choosing the right method to use to get the answers in the shortest time.
Moving into the 2nd hour of the lesson, we applied what we learnt earlier to understand the rationale of Remainder Theorem and Factor Theorem and solved a handful of interesting questions.
As per tradition, we ended off with a fun and exciting kahoot!

This coming week, we’ll be moving on to solving cubic equations and some higher order thinking questions.
