What we did in 2 hours:
This lesson, we did our Maths EOY Revision on Linear and Quadratic Graphs.
A few key points to take note for this topic:
Linear Graph –
1) y = mx + c, where m is the gradient of line and c is the y-intercept.
2) Gradient (steepness of line) = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1).
gradient of an upslope line = +ve number
gradient of a downslope line = -ve number
gradient of a horizontal line = 0
gradient of a vertical line is undefined.
Quadratic Graph –
1) y = ax^2 + bx + c, where c is the y-intercept.
2) Shape of graph: a > 0 is a happy face, whereas a < 0 is a sad face.
*Let x = 0 to find y-intercept and let y = 0 to find x-intercept.
