S1 Maths + Science “A” Class PMC BISHAN is scheduled to open on 4 Feb 2020 5.30pm,
S1 Maths + Science “A” Class PMC PAYA LEBAR is scheduled to open on 6 Feb 2020 5.30pm,
This is subject to minimum expression of interest. Parents and students who are interested in this class can express interest to the HQ (9100 1235).
“A” classes are suitable for IP students or students who are suitable for accelerated lessons. Bishan A Classes are recommeded for RI, RGS, CHS, SNGS students. Paya Lebar A Classes are recommended for DHS, VS, Cedar, TJ students.
[S1 Maths + Science PMCians]
What we did in 2 hours:
This week, we completed our Science lesson on Physical Properties & Measurement.
In particular, we have learnt how to take readings from the Vernier Caliper and a micrometer screw gauge, with and without zero error. These are useful skills that can be applied in laboratory when you take measurement — Do remember to check if the measuring instrument has any zero error and minus it off from your observed reading.
Corrected Reading = Observed Reading – Zero Error

Please take some time to complete the mindmap on Physical Properties in the booklet. Your tutor will look through and check in the next lesson.
Special Mention:
We will be doing a new Maths topic: Approximation and Estimation in the next lesson. This topic will be completed in 2-hour with a test at the end of lesson.
