[J1] Term 1 Week 10 (9-15 Mar) Updates/ Debrief

[J1 Physics PMCians] Kinematics – Gonna Ace this topic!

What we did in 2 hours:
Once again, we practised more questions on how to sketch the Displacement, Velocity and Acceleration graphs. What a workout!!

We know you have enjoyed learning the new problem solving method called Method of Comparison, which is a technique you’ll be using the next 2 years!!

What you take home:
Some of you have requested more questions to practise for Kinematics.

Here are 2 resources for you to ace this chapter!!

1) Kinematic Daily Dose!

Special Mention:
This March Holidays, make full use of the promo code we sent you via Whatsapp to sign up for our Tasting Session for other topics!! Enjoy the delicacies prepared specially by our gifted Chefs @ PMC!!

[J1 Maths PMCians] Graphing Techniques 2: Rational Functions L2

What we did in 2 hours:
We wrapped up Rational Functions with some consolidation questions as well as a quick quiz. Hopefully that firms up your concept with the chapter!

What you take home:
Worked Solutions for the quiz is as linked:

Special Mention:

This week we will be covering our final part of Graphing Techniques, Transformations.

RI Class: We will reacquaint ourselves with differentiation and pick up some H2 differentiation techniques!

[J1 Chemistry PMCians] Dissecting Atomic Structure

What we did in 2 hours:
This week, we looked at how ionisation energy varies for different elements in the Periodic Table. We have also picked up many shortcuts to solve MCQs in less than a minute! Do apply them in your tutorial questions and lecture quizzes.

What you take home:

You should have received the Take Home Questions for Atomic Structure.  The summary and solutions to Everything you need to know series is found here:

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/08fwuwi3jp5roq1/AACkQID_j7mEGKQIBNpUxB4Ea?dl=0

Special Mention:

Congrats to all who have done well in Atomic Structure Test B. This is not an easy test – if you have passed, you have done well!

We have sufficiently studied the structure of one atom in atomic structure. Next lesson, let us look at the interactions between multiple atoms in the chapter Chemical Bonding.

Experience Week will begin next lesson. “Jio” your friends to join you for two weeks of (cheap) lessons on one of the bigger chapters of H2 Chemistry – Chemical Bonding!

See you in class!
