PHYSICS AND MATHS TUITION CLASSES SCHEDULE

GROUP TUITION CLASS SCHEDULE
- [ Existing Students ] All students in PMC 2018 classes do not have to register for the 2019 classes. A seat has been reserved for you and the fee will be fixed at your base rate of 2018.
- [ Sec 1 Maths + Science ] We will be covering both Maths and Science in the weekly lessons.
- [ Sec 2 Science ] We will be covering Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the weekly lessons.
- [ Upper Sec Maths Classes ] Students must be in IP or express stream and must be taking A. Maths since both E.Maths and A.Maths will be covered.
- [ IP Sec Students ] There may be arrangement for the students to attend some J1 classes which are relevant at no extra charges.
- [ Online Registration ] Register online 24 hours before the first lesson.
- [ Live Make-up and Digital lessons ] You can request to attend make-up lessons in any of the centres. You may choose to attend the digital recording of the lesson that they missed.
- [ Back to back lessons ] Our Physics and Maths classes of the same level are arranged back to back with a 30 mins break.
- [ Tuition fee ] Please refer to PMC Fee Policy in FAQ (Point 4).
- [ Trial Lesson ] Most students and parents are recommended by friends and relatives. If you are not, you may register for the alacarte (ad-hoc) lesson to remove some of the inherent risk of trying something new. Refer to the ala carte fee and sign up procedure in FAQ (Point 5).
- [ Private 1-1 Lesson ] Do you prefer to attend a 1-1 private (Gold Class) with our tutor in your preferred outlet and timing? Refer to the fee and sign up procedure in FAQ (Point 6).
- [ PMC Scholarship ] You may whatsapp to find out more on the application procedure.
- [ Sold Out Classes ] Classes with “sold out” are strictly not available for make-up, trial or sign-up.
GROUP TUITION FEE POLICY
- The school fee is based on 4 weekly lessons of 2 hours and is inclusive of GST, if any.
- The school fee is updated daily by our automated system based on the number of vacancies remaining in that level and subject on that day.
- The fee bracket ($400-$450) below shows the estimated range of your fee if you register online now. You may whatsapp to the HQ to enquire the exact fee based on the real time computation.
- Please note that the fee is dynamic and will be adjusted within the fee bracket and from one bracket eg ($400-$450) to the next higher bracket eg ($450-$500) as the seats are gradually taken up.
- We believe learning is a journey. Fees for students will be maintained at the entry level throughout the duration of his journey with PMC. Once the student is enrolled in the school, the fee will not change within the whole duration of Sec 1 to JC 2. Example, if a student join in Sec 1 and is paying a rate of $400 for 4 lessons, he will be paying the same amount in JC 2, as long as he continues his learning journey with us. However, do note that there will be automatic withdrawal upon non-payment by the due date indicated on the invoice. Reminders will be send out.
- All registrations must be strictly done online through the online reservation, and the fee bracket will be based on the date of successful registration.
ALA-CARTE LESSON [JOIN US FOR 1 TRIAL LESSON]
- You can sign up for one lesson to attend the same class as the regular students. However the school fee for Physics and Maths Ala Carte (ad-hoc/trial) lesson will be about 50% higher than the fee of the weekly regular lesson.
- The Ala Carte (Ad-hoc) lessons are suitable for the following students: Students taking H1 instead of H2, students taking IB instead of A level, students who need to have a taste of our lesson before joining the weekly classes.
- Please do not register online as you do not have to pay any registration fee or deposit for Ala Carte (ad-hoc/trial) lesson.
- The fee quoted above is nett and all inclusive. You can submit payment before the lesson.
- You will be attending the same full lesson as the regular students attending the weekly lessons.
- You may register online and pay the registration fee if you are interested to join the rest of the students in the weekly lessons after your ala carte (ad-hoc/trial) lesson.
- The fee for the regular lessons will be determined real time on the date of successful online registration and is independant on the trial lesson.
- There will be no commitment to join weekly regular lessons after the Ala Carte (ad-hoc/trial) lesson.
- There will be no refund for the Ala Carte (ad-hoc/trial) lesson even if you decided to join the regular weekly class thereafter.
- Students are not allowed to sign up for Ala Carte lesson for sold out classes.
- Please send us a whatsapp “I am (name, level, school of student. I wish to attend one ad-hoc/trial (Physics, Maths, Chemistry) lesson on (date, time and outlet)”.
1 to 1 Private Gold Class Tuition
- The fee quoted below is nett based on a lessons of 2 hours, inclusive of material fee. You can submit payment before the lesson.
- You will be spending more as you will be paying for the timeslot of an average group session. The fee is calculated based on 20% of the total tuition fee paid by a regular tuition class.
- The one to one session will be fully structured, using notes from our regular programme. The tutor taking the private one to one lesson will be the same tutor taking the weekly group session of that level and subject.
- The lesson will be efficient and effective and you will master the topic that you choose within the 2 hour session. You will be expecting to cover the content of about 2 to 3 group sessions in one single session of one to one. You will get to choose the topic that you want to cover. Our tutor will be ready for the lesson and the 2 hours will be fully utilised.
- The 1-1 private tuition (Gold Class) lessons are suitable for the following students: Students taking H1 instead of H2, students taking IB instead of A level, students who need a crash course and is running out of time, students who join late and therefore need help for selected topics that he has missed
- You do not have to pay any registration fee or deposit.
- There will be no commitment to sign up for a minimum number of sessions. It can be done on an ad-hoc basis.
- Both existing or non-existing students can sign up for the private one to one Physics/Maths/Chemistry lesson.
- Please send us a whatsapp or sms “I am (name,level,school of student). I wish to schedule a private one to one (Physics, Maths, Chemistry) lesson on (date, time and outlet). The lesson will be on (Topic, Level of difficulty out of 10)”.

Can i know more about the digital lessons?
You can now attend the digital recording of our live lesson at the comfort of our cafe or even at home at less than half the price of the actual lesson.
The plus side is, you will be given the hardcopy notes and you get to pause the video at any time. You can choose to revisit any topic, or to choose your available time to watch the video. We are offering you the flexibility, giving you the convenience of experiencing the live lesson.
How much do I have to pay for the digital lesson?
Case 1 – Existing Student
Watching digital lessons as make-up.
Example: Jane has been attending The Physics Cafe lessons from Week 3 to Week 9. She will like to watch the video podcast for the lesson in Week 4 for any reasons. Jane is considered as an existing student since she has already paid the regular school fee for the lesson she want to watch.
*You may request for fee waiver of the $10 in the online registration if it’s your first digital lesson in each term. Fee waiver is only applicable via Self Collection, Watch in Café and NOT for Home Delivery.
Case 2 – Non-Existing Student#
#Including Student watching the digital lessons conducted before he joins.
Example: Peter have not attended any course in The Physics Cafe before. His friend, Jane has been attending The Physics Cafe lessons from Week 3 to Week 9. She will like to watch the video podcast for the lesson that she missed in Week 1. Both Peter and Jane are considered as a non-existing student as long as they have not paid the regular school fee for the lesson she want to watch.
DIGITAL ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION
This is suitable for students who wants to save on tuition fee by watching the digital lessons instead of attending the live lessons. The digital lessons and course materials will be sent to you by post every 2 weeks. You will be receiving 2 videos per parcel and therefore will be able watch the digital lessons at almost the same pace as the live lessons. We offer WhatsApp consultation on the course material.
*Fee is quoted for the whole year of digital lessons for each level is estimated to be 50% discount off the usual digital price.

If you do not want to watch the video in PMC tuition centre, you can get to watch it at home!

1) Home Delivery: Video link and material will be posted to you. (not available for fee waiver) We will send you the materials and the video link for the digital lesson by post to your residence. The video link is valid for 7 days and will not be renewed. All students who request for digital home delivery must submit photo of student card as proof of student identity.
2) WhatsApp Delivery – Video link will be whatsapp to you and you can collect the materials on your next lesson.
