[S4] Lesson 36 (Electricity Part 1: COE + DC Year End Revision + Integration Part 3 + Chemical Kinetics EOY L3)

[S4 Physics PMCians]

What we did in 2 hours:

On 5 and 6 Sep, the S4 PH has come together to complete the following:

1) Secret Enclosed – Electricity Concept 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6

2) The Final Lap – Electricity MCQ Q 1 to 17

Quick Summary

  1. a) I = Q/t
  2. b) V = E / Q
  3. c) R = V/I, R = resistivity x Length / Cross-sectional area
  4. d) Ohm’s Law: V directly proportional I; provided all physical conditions remain constant
  5. e) Potential Divider: V = [R1/ (R1 + R2)] x EMF

What you take home:

In this coming week (Sept 12 and 13), we will continue to our revision for the MOST anticipated chapter – DC Circuit.

Do remember to always bring your Secret Enclosed AND the revision books for all lessons.

Special Mention:

Should you need assistance in your daily practices in Physics, do send your attempted workings and questions to 9005 1733.

We will strive to clarify your doubts.

What we did in 2 hours:

This week, we completed 2 tests on integration.

We had ended our revision on integration and you are now equipped with the skillset needed for it. Kudo to all PMCians, you all score well for the test!

 Special Mention:

We are moving on to the mock exam series next week. Please get ready your book 5. See you either in zoom or onsite!

What we did in 2 hours:

We have completed our revision on Speed of Reaction. You are now equipped with essential problem solving processes on interpreting speed of reaction graphs (Steepness of gradient = speed of reaction, think factors; end point = think amount of limiting reagent).

What you take home:

You should begin attempting the take home questions on Speed of Reaction and bring questions to clarify in class, if any!

Special Mention:

We will be kickstarting our revision on Atmosphere, examining the chemistry of pollutants and solutions to mitigate them, as well as attempting some challenging data based questions! See you in class this weekend!
