[S4] Lesson 22 (1 -7 June) Updates/ Debrief

[S4 Physics PMCians]

What we did in 2 hours:

Over the live tutorial sessions (May 30 and 31, 2020), we came together to complete the the COE/DC MYE Set 3 revision and the many rounds of PMC Challenges. This topic, as we cannot emphasize enough, is one of the heavily tested topic in the O level and many IP year-end promos.

The tutors were happy to see that many of you were actively engaged in strengthening your mastery in COE/DC through our discussions and games. It was really a pleasure to see such positive learning culture in our zoom room. Let’s keep up this positive vibes!!

What you take home:

In this coming week (June 6 and 7, 2020), we will come together to start catching all our secret enclosed summaries (like Pokemon characters eh?).

We will start with Measurement and Mass, Weight and Density for this coming week! No documents will be uploaded to the Teachable Website. Want to know why? Read on….

Shout-out:

Book would have been delivered to all of you already and we will be using this book from THIS week on!!

We will not be issuing any soft copies during the lessons and HENCE, if you HAVE NOT receive the book, contact us @ 9100 1235 immediately.

Special Mention:

School resumes this week! We sincerely wish everyone safe and remember to 1. wear masks till you are home; 2. practice social distancing; 3. practice good self-hygiene; 4) do not crowd around in public, head straight home to do Physics once school lessons are over (hehehe…).

To all our students taking the GCE ‘O’ MT papers, focus hard for the next two weeks to ACE the papers!

Focus! (any one needs a thin converging lens? haha..)

What we did in 2 hours:

We have completed our revision on physical properties of four different categories of substances (recap: take hints on melting and boiling point of unknown substances and classify them accordingly) and began our learning on trends in the Periodic Table (think big ideas: metallic/non-metallic character is the ability to lose/gain electrons).

What you take home:

Do continue to make use of the Take Home Gems to consolidate your learning of the chapters covered. Take some time to recap on trends down Group I and VII for our discussion this weekend!

Special Mention:

Here’s a sneak preview of some points we will be discussing about this weekend!
