[S2] Term 1 Week 11 March Holiday (16-22 Mar) Updates/Debrief

[S2 Maths + Science PMCians]

What we did in 2 hours:

This week, we continued with our second Science lesson on Chemical Changes.

We learnt about chemical changes using electricity, such as electrolysis (breaking down of ionic compound using electric current) and eletroplating (coating a key with a layer of metal). We also learnt about rusting, an oxidation process which requires the presence of oxygen and water. Finally, we learnt about acids & alkalis and the indicators used to test the pH of an aqueous solution.

What you take home:

Here are a few videos related to what we covered in our lesson.

Special Mention:

We will complete the chemical changes on acids & alkalis and wrap up our last Science lesson on Chemical Changes next week.

Thank you. 🙂
