Most Popular JC Physics Tuition in Singapore (Archived)

The idea of the flashcard originate from how we conduct lessons in PMC.
We are confident that if our students follow “PMC Methods” to approach the question, we can make a difficult question SIMPLE. This is why PMC slogan is “You will never believe something so difficult can be so simple.”

However, from time to time, we will have some students not getting the results they expect. So the solution to this problem is apparent. If they can remember and follow exactly what is taught in PMC, and not get confused by externalities, we will then have a controlled environment where we can fairly predict our students’ performance.

The Flash Cards is part of the solution to this. Use it and help us improve it.

Measurement

In this lesson, our tutor reinforced students’ understanding and problem-solving skills by tackling calculations on Uncertainties (Errors). There are 2 categories of calculation, typically the addition/subtraction or division/multiplication. The students learnt how to use a guaranteed method of calculating the maximum and minimum value. The tutor also touched on Vectors and how to calculate the components of it or determine the resultant vector.

Forces

For this topic, our JC tutor goes through the first lesson by practicing how to dra Free-Body-Diagram accurately. Subsequently, the students also reviews the 2 conditions for Static Equilibrium – net Force = 0, net Moment about any point = 0.

WEP

For this lesson, our tutor touched on the Work-Energy theorem, known as Conservation of Energy (COM) which is one of the principle pillars of Physics and solved complex questions.

EM

In this lesson, our JC tutor solves questions with the students by using the right hand grip rule (RHGR) to determine the direction for current that creates magnetic field and Fleming’s Left Hand rule (FLHR) to determine the direction of the magnetic force in which F = BIL.

Superposition

This lesson, the tutor goes through situational problems to teach Stationary Wave. What happens when 2 waves move in opposite direction to each other? If boundary conditions are met, there will be a Stationary Wave. Following that, our tutor summarised the 3 scenarios of sny stationary wave (NN, AA, NA) and our students learnt to solve questions using the drawing method or using equations.

Quantum Physics

For this lesson, our tutor touched on Line Spectra and the main learning point of this is to know the difference between the 2 ways energy can be transferred to an electron orbiting a nucleus by using photons (results in Absorption Line Spectra) or high KE particle collisions (results in Emission Line Spectra).

Beyond the 2hr classes, students can take a photo of their attempt at a question that they want to clarify and send it to our PMC HQ’s WhatsApp which will relay to the respective tutors to answer. This is to allow the students to still have reach to their tutors in case they have any further doubts.

The HQ WhatsApp can also be contacted for non-academic matters like enquiries and school fees.

5. BEST STUDENTS MEET BEST TEACHERS IN OUR JC PHYSICS TUITION.

You’ve probably heard it more times than you can count. “You’re the average of the five people spend the most time with,” a quote attributed most often to motivational speaker Jim Rohn.

There’s also the “show me your friends and I’ll show you your future” derivative. The people we spend time with shape who we are. They determine what conversations dominate our attention. They affect which attitudes and behaviours we are regularly exposed. Eventually, we start to think as they think and behave as they behave. This is probably why parents will do their utmost to get their children into top schools – to surround them with positive influences.

Now suppose 2 hours every week, at the comfort of home or on site at our centre, your children get to…

⭐ Be mentored by the best JC Physics teachers in Singapore.

⭐ Learn together and make friends with top students from the top JC

You will develop the love  and confidence in Physics, just like me.

 6. MORE THAN 80% OF OUR STUDENTS SCORED A IN PHYSICS A LEVELS AND O LEVELS – DOUBLING THE NATIONAL AVERAGE!

Need we say more? We are very proud of our students who have done well in the A levels and would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to the graduated batches over the years since 2009. You have worked hard and gotten the grades you truly deserved. Good Job! Do visit our hall of fame to find out more.

7. WE GO BEYOND GROUP TUITION.

We have alternative programmes such as 1-to-1 gold class private lessons as well as digital membership. The PMC experience is designed in a way where 80% of the content trains the problem-solving skillset of the students and only 20% on the concepts. Thus you can still learn as effectively with our resources at your own timing and pace.

8. ALL-ROUNDED STUDY FACILITIES

Our centres aren’t simply just for holding lessons. PMC students are welcomed to visit our centres anytime during our opening hours to study rather than fighting for limited seats at libraries and cafes.

Mr Dave Sim, JC Physics Coordinator and Editor, Academic Director of The Physics Cafe take a JC 2 Physics Lesson on Quantum Physics.

PMC HQ – +65 9100 1235

Beyond the 2hr classes, students can take a photo of their attempt at a question that they want to clarify and send it to our PMC HQ’s WhatsApp which will relay to the respective tutors to answer. This is to allow the students to still have reach to their tutors in case they have any further doubts.

The HQ WhatsApp can also be contacted for non-academic matters like enquiries and school fees.

9. HIGHLY REPUTABLE AND TRUSTABLE

There are many parents who hope to find someone good, who is just near where they live and the fee to be as low as possible. But if you prefer not to trial and error, The Physics Cafe is the most tried and trusted physics tuition centre, recommend by students and parents. From The Straits Times to The Smart Local, PMC is recommended by reputable news sources and dubbed as a premium school in Singapore that specialises in JC physics tuition, IP, secondary Physics tuition and Math tuition. We even garnered 3000+ genuine reviews from our past students who have improved or maintained their exceptional grades with us.

10. We will control how you perform in the examinations.
