[J2] Term 1 Week 10 (9-15 Mar) Updates/ Debrief

[J2 Physics PMCians] Charges Moving in a Circle!!

What we did in 2 hours:
We built on our understanding of Electromagnetism (EM) to understand the magnetic force on a Moving Charge.

We also realised that this topic is ripe to combine with other topics, such as Circular Motion, Electric field, Dynamics & Forces..etc.

What you take home:
Do try out the questions in Daily Dose for Moving charges. You can download and print using the link below.

Special Mention:

During the March holidays, we will have TWO (2) separate lessons for EM. Do check out the schedule for the best timing and location for you. See you all there!!

[J2 Maths PMCians] Complex Numbers Revision L2

What we did in 2 hours:
The modulus argument forms of complex numbers can be a lot more problematic! Do touch up on the basics, especially how we get our arguments quickly and accurately.

Taking reference from the 2019 A levels question, note that the half-angle techniques can be very important and a commonly examined type this year. Two ways we can do it, by factorising half power, or applying half angle trigo formulae. Be practiced!

RI Class: Lines and planes can be quite a handful, especially with the phrasing of some questions. Keep practising!

What you take home:
Worked solutions for Complex Numbers daily dose as well as the Try-It questions are linked here:

RI Class: Vectors Try-It questions linked here:

Special Mention:
This week we will be doing some Calculus consolidation. This will also wrap up our round of Pure Math work before moving on to Statistics in the next school term. Be ready!

[J2 Chemistry PMCians] Last Lap to March Common Test

What we did in 2 hours:
We have successfully completed the organic chapters on Hydroxyl Compounds (Wed, Bishan) and Carboxylic Acids & Derivatives (Paya Lebar & Beauty World).

What you take home:

Use the Everything you need to know series to help you revise basic knowledge! Help yourself recall organic reactions using Recalling Organic Reactions. Use the Take Home Questions to reinforce these knowledge and concepts.
